How To: Get the Blush Gold iPhone X — Announcement Date, Release Date & Where to Buy

Get the Blush Gold iPhone X — Announcement Date, Release Date & Where to Buy

Before the Sept. 2017 event held by Apple, we thought the new iPhone X would come in three different colors. While only a Space Gray and Silver option made it to the Nov. 2017 release, the missing third hue may finally be on its way, if the latest rumors are to be believed. If you can't wait for the new Blush Gold color, here's when and how you can expect to get your hands on one.

Apple hasn't made any official announcements about an iPhone X in Blush Gold. In fact, we only know about it from some convincing photo leaks, which support its persistent rumors last year. Nevertheless, there are some clues here to help us identify when we could see Apple's intermediary iPhone X release and how you can get the new color.

Official Announcement on March 27

Interestingly enough, Apple has an event planned this month on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. While the event will be centered around "creative new ideas for teachers and students," Apple has not yet said what will specifically be discussed. While it sounds like iPads might be the focus of this event, it's possible Apple will unveil the Blush Gold iPhone X at this time.

This theory can be backed up by last year's (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which Apple revealed on March 21, albeit, not at a traditional Apple event. However, the iPhone SE was revealed on March 21, 2016, at an actual Apple event, so that's two years in a row of a new iPhone model or color. Older Apple events in March highlighted iOS updates, the Apple Watch, new Apple TV and MacBook models, and other services and features.

The company's Creative Education event takes place just over one year after the (PRODUCT)RED announcement and two years after the iPhone SE revealing, so the timing would be more than appropriate considering Apple's last couple years.

Anticipated Release on March 30

If we continue off the example of the (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, we expect the Blush Gold iPhone X to be released Friday, March 30, 2018, three days after its initial announcement. Again, there's no official word from Apple here, but if the company does decide to announce the iPhone X color on March 27, it makes sense they would make it available three days later.

However, the iPhone SE was released over a week and a half after its announcement, but the (PRODUCT)RED is a better indicator since it was just a new color like the Gold Blush iPhone X.

Also, the (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 models did not have a preorder option, though if you ordered one three days after their announcement, it might have taken a week or so for it to ship or show up in the store to pickup. You can expect the same here for the Gold Blush iPhone X. They may not be available to take home the same day, but you can at least buy one and wait for it to ship.

Where to Buy the Blush Gold iPhone X

The best bet for finding the Blush Gold iPhone X upon is release is from Apple directly, either in a physical Apple Store, online, or through the Apple Store app.

Other outlets are likely to carry the device, however. On Apple's (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 page, it claims select carriers and authorized Apple resellers carried the RED iPhone, which we can anticipate will hold true for the Blush Gold iPhone X. Our guess is the four big US carries — AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile — will probably sell the new color, as will big stores such as Target and Best Buy.

Keep an eye out when the new color officially drops to see who's selling the Gold Blush iPhone X, and, potentially, who's offering the best deal.

Alternative Release for the Blush Gold iPhone X

If Apple doesn't announce the Blush Gold iPhone X on the March 27, then its release really will be a toss-up. The company could wait until the fall and release the Blush Gold as a color option for its 2018 line of iPhones. Or, Apple could announce the color at any time it wishes to so. This is Apple, after all.
